Meet Mandy!

She’s a wife, mom and former corporate project manager who now helps her clients organize and declutter their lives through her business, RETHINK organization.

RETHINK organization was born in late 2020 during the worldwide pandemic. Mandy says,

My passion for creating order out of chaos surfaced in many home projects during lockdown earlier that spring. 

Mandy has loved organizing since childhood.  As a professional, she was drawn to hard copy media, data storage, and file rooms and developed a passion for the orderliness and coordination of project management. She also always loved working with clients.

RETHINK organization allows Mandy to uniquely combine her skills and experience, both personal and professional, to help her clients.

While she had considerable corporate experience, including deeply successful sales experience, pivoting to owning her own business was not intuitive. 

Mandy came to REL Impact for coaching around mindset, mechanics and to set a roadmap to reach success on her own.

Challenges

When Mandy first came to coaching, her business was truly in its infancy. She says she had registered the LLC but had no business systems, no marketing plan, and no sales funnel. She had all the theory and none of the know-how and lacked the confidence and courage to jump. 

One of the main things I worried about was making mistakes. Coming from a corporate background where mistakes were discouraged, moving into a space where mistakes are actually expected and encouraged was hard!

Solutions

I worked with Mandy to set up business systems that are working for her now and will also support her growth.

Mandy appreciated many of the resources that Rachel recommended, including books like Profit First and In The Flo and software platforms for scheduling and social media.

She also found encouragement and confidence through coaching.  Mandy says she was particularly inspired by

[Rachel’s]…clear message that we can do this and that we do not need anyone else. We, as women-owned small business entrepreneurs, have what we need to be successful in our own selves, and that is empowering and exciting!

All of these helped me form the business I have now, and she continues to offer further advice - when asked! - to help me build my business.

Results

Mandy was excited to make a profit in her very first year of business.  Her first paying client came in March of 2021, and in less than 4 months in REL Momentum, she made her investment back…signing a total of 11 paying clients by the end of the year.

And there was so much more to celebrate than that.

She experienced some major mindset shifts along the way, as well.

Mandy says,

I am entering 2022 with the calm assurance that I can do this and that this will be successful. I may not be moving as quickly as I want, but the decisions and moves I make are confident and assured. 

Mandy’s advice to future clients?

Be prepared to do the work. [Rachel] provides a road map but she will not do the work for you. That is the whole point - she is teaching you what you need to do to do it yourself and will guide you where to focus. She will also patiently wait for you to come back after you wander off down the wrong path!
