Francisca Mix the founder of Francisca Consulting & Counseling has been helping mental health professionals and individuals unlock confidence in business and in life for over 25 years. With an extensive background in training/education, counseling, leadership, and management, her down to earth and collaborative approach supports clients in ownership of skills and talents they already have, while learning new skills. She is an agent of change and an out-of-the-box thinker and will help clients reach their potential while honoring authenticity, courage, and creativity.

WHY DID YOU START YOUR BUSINESS? 

I have worked with many mental health professionals in my previous position and I wanted to continue providing support to mental health professionals and individuals. I wanted to continue to be part of the change process for many so there is a world with more people able to experience all that life has to offer.

WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED AND OVERCOME?

My challenges were about the business aspects of a private practice, specifically marketing. I overcame the lack of knowledge and a sense of direction by working with a business coach. I have learned what was missing... intentional approaches to sales and marketing.

WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED ABOUT RUNNING A BUSINESS: 

The best advice is to know your WHY and identify your ideal client. Everything comes from this understanding.

OUR “IMPACT” FAMILY IS DRIVEN BY EMPOWERING WOMEN TO ACTIVATE THEIR BEST LIFE THROUGH THE FREEDOM OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP. HOW DO YOU DEFINE IMPACT?

Impact to me means to pay it forward. I have trained over hundreds of the future mental health professionals in CO and that feels amazing! I have supported their development so they are not only clinically competent, but confident in their abilities to do what they love from the inside out.
